Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Fixpaid (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Fixpaid lets contractors create and send invoices and accept card payments from their clients. Card payments are processed by Stripe; you connect your own Stripe account to receive funds.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure (sign-in is passwordless via magic link or Google).

3. Acceptable use

• Do not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
• Do not invoice for illegal goods or services.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Fixpaid offers a free plan with usage limits and a paid "Pro" subscription billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Payments between you and your clients

Invoices and payments are between you and your clients. Fixpaid is a tool that facilitates them; we are not a party to your transactions, do not hold your funds, and are not responsible for disputes, chargebacks, taxes, or the goods and services you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of your invoices and for complying with applicable laws, including tax obligations.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (including Stripe, Supabase, Resend, and Vercel). Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe's terms.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fixpaid will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Fixpaid operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
