This Privacy Policy explains how Fixpaid ("Fixpaid", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our invoicing application and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Fixpaid provides invoicing and card-payment tools for independent contractors. For privacy questions, contact us at fixpaid.app@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information: your email address, and the business profile you provide (business name, address, tax ID).
Content you create: invoices, line items, and the client details (name, email, address) you enter to bill them.
Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We keep limited records such as subscription status and payment confirmations.
Usage & analytics (with your consent): pages visited, approximate location (country/region/city derived from your IP address — we do not store the full IP), and a random, anonymous session identifier. This is first-party only and runs solely after you accept analytics cookies.
Essential technical data: authentication cookies and your cookie-consent choice, needed for the Service to function.

3. How we use your information

To provide, operate, and secure the Service.
To send transactional emails (e.g. invoices, magic-link sign-in).
To process subscriptions and invoice payments via Stripe.
To understand product usage and improve Fixpaid (analytics, only with consent).
To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

We process data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), based on your consent (analytics cookies), and for our legitimate interests in operating and improving Fixpaid and preventing abuse.

5. Service providers we share data with

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
Stripe — subscription billing and invoice card payments.
Resend — sending transactional email.
Vercel — application hosting and edge delivery.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments. We do not sell your personal information.

6. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Data retention

We keep account and invoice data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Analytics events are retained for a limited period. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under GDPR and the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email fixpaid.app@gmail.com.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on our database) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Children

Fixpaid is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, additional notice.
